Rooted in Time

from $33.00

I lived in New Orleans for over twenty years. The oak trees there are unlike anything I've ever seen — massive, sprawling, ancient things that grow sideways as much as upward, draped in Spanish moss, roots cracking through sidewalks. They feel like they belong to a different category of living thing entirely.

When I taught myself to paint during the pandemic, one of my first real attempts was a New Orleans oak. I used reference photos, no tutorial, and it took way longer than I expected. But it came out better than it had any right to. I've been painting trees ever since.

This is the version I'm finally happy with. Rich, layered acrylics. Deep roots, expansive canopy. For the room that needs something that feels old and steady and alive.

Museum-quality posters made on thick matte paper.
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil

• Paper weight: 189 g/m²

• Opacity: 94%

• ISO brightness: 104%
